Broke, broke, and broke again!

Before buying a garment rack, I read reviews of several products and then purchased the product with the highest reviews, despite the higher cost. I was terribly disappointed! After about two weeks, the plastic that surrounds the metal on the side of the rack we had up higher broke. So, I made that the lower side of the rack and turned it around. Then the same thing happened with that side. I resigned myself to having both sides at the same level (which is NOT ideal). But then the plastic holding the bottom of one pole, right near the wheel, broke! So now I had three poles still in the plastic base and one that had to be set on the floor. We just had to throw this away! And I did not have this terribly overloaded. There were no coats or heavy items - just tops and bottoms for a petite female hanging on plastic hangers. The problem with most of the reviews for this item (and others, anywhere things are reviewed) is that people review these before using them for any length of time. Trust me, unless you are only planning to hang up very, very small number of items, save your money!

Not very stable but acceptable. It shakes if you touch it with a little force. Just keep it standing and yourself away from it, it'll be OK.

Not well balanced

The rack didn't stay up straight. It always swayed to one side, no matter how we distributed the weight. The poles also wouldn't stay at the correct height we adjusted it to - it would randomly slide down a lot. When it's set to the lowest height, it's great, but doesn't do me any good with dresses or pants that we hang.
